The classification of seamless steel pipe
Seamless steel pipes are made of a whole round steel perforated and have no welds on the surface. They are called seamless steel pipes.
A steel pipe without seams along the perimeter of its cross-section. According to different production methods, they are divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, pipe jacking, etc., all of which have their own process regulations.
How to check whether seamless steel pipe is qualified?
1. Check whether the composition of the steel is uniform. Due to inferior seamless steel pipes, there are more impurities in the pipes and the density of the steel is smaller.
2. Inferior seamless steel pipes have serious dimensional deviations. Therefore, we can use vernier calipers to check the dimensions of each part of the steel pipe to see whether it meets the standards of seamless steel pipes.
3. The inner diameter of inferior seamless steel pipes fluctuates greatly, but the inner diameter of qualified seamless steel pipes is also very stable.
What tests need to be done before seamless steel pipes leave the factory?
1. The delivery state of seamless steel pipes is generally in the hot-rolled state after heat treatment. After passing the quality inspection, the hot-rolled seamless steel pipe must be strictly hand-selected by the staff.
2. After quality inspection, the surface is oiled and then subjected to multiple cold drawing tests. After hot rolling treatment, a perforation test is performed.
3. After alignment, it is transported by the conveyor to the flaw detector for flaw detection experiments.
4. This step is also essential, then label it, organize the specifications, and then put it in the warehouse. Through this series of steps, we can better ensure the quality of seamless steel pipes before leaving the factory.
